Adults enjoyed some engaging and fun programs this April. Here is a brief recap of what took place this month at the Livingston Library.
Those looking to sell their home enjoyed a Homeselling Prep and Staging workshop. Adults looking for lifelong learning opportunities also enjoyed the lectures Jazz, Pop, and Rock: The NJ Connection and The Gilded Age: The Best of Times, the Worst of Times.
Those looking to explore their creative sides attended our instructor-led Adult Art Workshops Make an Alcohol Ink Vase and Make a Layered Succulent Terrarium. Other creative arts opportunities this month included our regular Crafterwork, Crafternoon, Jewelry Making workshops,
Those looking to strengthen their mind and bodies enjoyed our all levels Adult Yoga workshop, Learn CPR and AED in partnership with the Livingston First Aid Squad, and the health lecture Pharmacy Myths: What Really Goes On Behind the Counter.
Spring is here and so is gardening! Gardeners learned valuable information during the lecture Container Gardening in Small Spaces.
We celebrated National Poetry Month with a Poetry Reading in the Library’s program room. We also enjoyed our monthly book clubs including Crime Time, Let’s Talk About Books, Thrilling Tales, and our Bookish Vibes book club and author visit with Megan Collins.
Those interested in new and emerging technologies enjoyed the tech lecture Understanding Artificial Intelligence.
We also enjoyed musical programs this month. Seniors attended our monthly Senior Happening where Naomi Miller presented “Aging Schmaging,” and music lovers of all ages attended our Music Matters Concert with The Kootz!
Those looking for a night of friendly competition enjoyed our all ages Bingo Night in the Library’s program room. And, last but not least, we also enjoyed three film screenings including our Saturday Matinee, and Tuesday evening and Thursday matinee screenings of our Movie of the Month.
