We had an amazing lineup of programs for adults and seniors in April. Below is a quick recap of the events we enjoyed at the Library. 

We started out the month with our ever-popular Adult yoga Workshop. For our Adult Art Workshop this month we painted fashionable tote bags and for Crafternoon we created decorative paper baskets. We also had a Music Matters concert by Livingston resident Luba Vasilyeva who performed music by J.S. Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven.

Our lecture series continued this month with lectures on Mel Brooks: It’s Good to Be The King of Comedy, Understanding Your Cat: Behavior, Care, and Communication, Alfred Hitchcock: Behind the Curtain of Suspense, De-Risk Your Retirement, Beyond the Bin: What Really Happens to the Stuff We Toss, Pete Best: Right Place, Right Time…Wrong Drummer, Estate Planning 101, and Marcel Duchamp: The Alchemist of the Avant-Garde. 

LivGreen Book Club met virtually this month to discuss Braiding Sweetgrass. Let’s Talk About Books also met virtually and discussed Going Infinite by Michael Lewis. Thrilling Tales met in person and discussed The Perfect Couple by Elin Hilderbrand. 

Senior Happening this month featured a scintillating performance by the Livingston High School Jazz Band. Following Senior Happening, seniors received technology assistance with teen tutors through our Community Tech Helpers program.

The Library featured Dr. Harry Tuber and the Friends of the Library Tribute Film Festival in  the month of April with two showings of Hamnet and one of If I Had Legs I’d Kick You. We also hosted a Special Needs Resource Fair for the public to connect with the community and gather information and support.
